The Thornwood Process combines current building techniques with technology to ensure that your project is not only completed per the design, but that you are updated and involved on a regular basis.

 

The tradesmen who work on your project are carefully selected to ensure that everyone has the same respect for your project as we do.

 

During the bidding process, we conduct a sub-contractor walk thru so that all key sub-contractors have the opportunity to inspect your property prior to bidding.  This pre-bid inspection process helps ensure that our proposal is accurate and reflects actual building conditions.  Any discrepancies between the plans and our walk thru are clearly noted in our final proposal.

 

The owner visits your project site on a regular basis to coordinate the activities of the sub-contractors and to assess the overall workmanship.  The goal is to identify and resolve any issues that may arise as soon as they occur.

 

Professional project management software is used to establish an initial project timeline.  We also provide routine updates via email, and weekly status reports.  Our goal is to ensure that you are aware of the status of your project at all times.

 

A simple but effective change management system is used to manage any changes to the project that may occur.  By formally managing change requests, we keep the project on schedule and you abreast of any changes to the timeline or cost of the project.

 

We understand that the number of decisions that must be made by the owners can be overwhelming. We help with this by notifying you when decisions (such as colors, fixtures, textures, etc.) are due.
